7. Enhancement In the life of timber / steel form work : At most of the construction projects, waste burnt oil / LD oil is applied on formwork in planks and plywood as mould releasing agent. This is done either to economize or out of ignorance. Ignorance to the facts that ( a ) The workers work in sticky and unhygienic conditions( b ) The surfaces of concrete that is moulded in these moulds , receives light film of oil which results in to de-bonding with walling / plasters ( c ) The reinforcement surface is contaminated with oil, which results into slipping of bars within RCC and ( d ) the life of formwork reduces due to ingress of water into it. With the advancement in chemistry, these days excellent solvent based mould release agents are available - which in the long run and broader sense - are cost efficient. Contact us for comprehensive solution on this.

8. Betterment of rubble / stone masonry walls : There are four shortcomings in this construction. (a) Mortar is normally lean and has very high volume %ge as compared to brick walls (b) The stone has very weak adhesion with cement mortar (c) Due to higher volumes, mortar has higher shrinkage . (d) The stones become shabby and dirty due to contamination by human hands during construction and later on due to fungus . Due to these lacunas, these walls become weak and allow water ingress and do not look beautiful as they should. We have very detailed advice on these problems. Contact us for comprehensive solution on this.

9. Crack free joints between RCC members and masonry walls : Due to great ignorance during execution, due importance is not paid to the bond between RCC members and masonry walls and hence such bond is not sufficient and proper. This results into definite cracking at these locations which has become very common scene today. We provide right advice, site procedure and material to reduce / eliminate such cracking. Contact us for comprehensive solution on this.

10. Waterproofing of terraces & sloping roofs : Do you know that while doing waterproofing of sloping slab brickbat coba / screed is not at all required to be done ? Are you aware that after the great rainfall during monsoons of 2005 and 2006, requirements of slopes in brickbat coba and design of rainwater spout / pipes has to be revised? Contact us for comprehensive solution on this.

11. Betterment of plaster : Plasters, particularly on external surfaces, are not just decorative renderings but has a very important role to perform that is to protect the skeleton of the buildings from getting degraded due moisture and other airborne contaminants. Like making better concrete, making better plaster also involves - lot of understanding of behaviour of OPC, sand and water individually and when mixed together. In addition to be in line & level, plasters also have to be free of cracks and impermeable . We have a big range of products – chemical and physical in nature – so as to overcome most of the lacunas. Contact us for further details and advice on making better and best plaster in given set of site conditions. Contact us for comprehensive solution on this.
